Telehealth Suboxone Treatment

Lotus Addiction Recovery & Wellness Center

You Don't Have to Do This Alone

If you’re struggling with opioid dependence, I want you to know something first: what you’re going through is not a moral failure. It’s a medical condition and it deserves real, compassionate care.

My name is Shivani Pereira. I’m a Nurse Practitioner based in New Hampshire, and I provide telehealth-based Suboxone treatment for people who are ready to take a step toward recovery, whatever that step looks like for you. Whether you’ve tried before or this is the first time you’re reaching out, I’m here to support you with honesty, respect, and no judgment.

I got into this work because I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, especially when they’re at their most vulnerable. Addiction is complex, and recovery is rarely a straight line. I don’t expect it to be.

What I bring to every appointment is this: I will listen to you. I will be honest with you. I will never rush you or make you feel like a number. My practice is grounded in ethics, confidentiality, and a deep respect for your pace and your process.

This is your recovery. My job is to support it.

What Is Suboxone?

Suboxone is a prescription medication that combines buprenorphine and naloxone. It’s one of the most effective, evidence-based tools available for treating opioid use disorder, and I want to make sure you understand exactly how it works and why I use it in my practice.

Buprenorphine works by binding to the same receptors in your brain that opioids target, reducing cravings and easing withdrawal symptoms without producing the same high. Naloxone is added to discourage misuse. Together, they create a stable foundation that allows you to focus on your recovery instead of just surviving each day.

Suboxone is not a shortcut or a substitute addiction. It is medicine, the same way insulin is medicine for diabetes. Using it as part of a structured treatment plan gives you the best chance at lasting recovery.

Virtual Care

Why Telehealth Makes Sense for Suboxone Treatment

I chose to offer Suboxone treatment via telehealth because I believe access to care shouldn’t depend on where you live, whether you have reliable transportation, or whether you can take time away from work or family.

From the comfort and privacy of your own home, you can:

  • Meet with me confidentially without anyone knowing
  • Avoid the stigma that sometimes comes with visiting a clinic
  • Fit appointments around your schedule
  • Receive the same quality of care as an in-person visit

Telehealth Suboxone treatment is legal, effective, and available to you anywhere in New Hampshire.

Suboxone Treatment FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Suboxone right for me?

That’s something we’ll determine together during your initial consultation. Suboxone is generally appropriate for adults with opioid use disorder who are motivated to engage in treatment. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll be upfront about that and discuss other options.

Many insurance plans, including Medicaid, cover Suboxone treatment. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider ahead of your appointment. I’m happy to assist with any questions during our consultation.

There’s no universal answer to this. Some people benefit from short-term treatment; others do best with longer-term maintenance. We’ll make this decision together based on your health, your goals, and your progress, and we’ll revisit it regularly.

A previous experience that didn’t go as planned doesn’t mean treatment won’t work for you now. Circumstances change, support matters, and the right approach makes a difference. I’d love to talk with you about what happened before and how we might do things differently.

Absolutely. Your privacy is something I take seriously. Everything you share with me is protected under strict confidentiality standards. You can speak openly without fear of judgment or disclosure.
