Lotus Addiction and Recovery Center
If you’ve been living with Hepatitis C, I want you to know something important: this virus is curable. Not managed. Not suppressed indefinitely. Cured. And getting that treatment should not require you to jump through hoops, prove your worthiness, or be at any particular point in your recovery.
My name is Shivani Pereira. I’m a Nurse Practitioner based in New Hampshire, and I provide telehealth-based Hepatitis C treatment for people who are ready to take a step toward better health, whatever that step looks like for them. Whether this is your first time seeking treatment or you’ve been through it before, I’m here to support you with honesty, respect, and no judgment.
I came to this work because I believe people deserve care that treats them as whole human beings, especially when they’re navigating something as serious as a chronic viral infection alongside the complexities of substance use or recovery.
There is no version of this treatment that requires you to be sober first, to have your life in perfect order, or to have made certain choices. The science is clear: Epclusa is safe during active use, effective even in the presence of significant liver damage, and available to you no matter how many times you’ve been through treatment before.
What I bring to every appointment is this: I will listen to you. I will be honest with you. I will not rush you or make you feel like a burden. This is your health. My job is to help you protect it.
Epclusa (sofosbuvir/velpatasvir) is a once-daily oral medication and one of the most effective treatments available for Hepatitis C. It works across all major genotypes of the virus, meaning most people qualify regardless of which strain they have.
Sofosbuvir and velpatasvir are direct-acting antivirals. They work by blocking the proteins the Hepatitis C virus needs to replicate inside your body. Taken consistently for 12 weeks, Epclusa achieves a sustained virologic response in more than 95% of patients. That means the virus becomes undetectable and, in the vast majority of cases, does not return.
Epclusa is not a lifelong medication. It is a short, defined course of treatment with a clear finish line. For most people, 12 weeks is all it takes.
I work with adults across New Hampshire who have been diagnosed with Hepatitis C or who have reason to believe they may be infected. You do not need to be in recovery or sober to receive care from me.
You may be a good fit for my program if you:
Hepatitis C is curable in 12 weeks. The only thing standing between you and that cure is one phone call.
Getting Hep C treatment shouldn’t mean sitting in a waiting room where someone might recognize you. It shouldn’t mean explaining to your employer why you need the afternoon off, or figuring out how to get across the state for an appointment. Telehealth exists so none of that has to be part of your story.
From your own home, treatment is private, flexible, and completely on your terms. Same care. No audience.
Telehealth Hepatitis C treatment is legal, effective, and available to you anywhere in New Hampshire.
Honestly, most people with Hepatitis C are good candidates. Epclusa works across all major genotypes, and unlike older treatments, it doesn’t require you to be in perfect health or free from substance use. We’ll go through your history together at your first appointment and I’ll give you a straight answer. If something else makes more sense for you, I’ll tell you that too.
It often is, including through Medicaid. I won’t pretend the insurance process is always smooth, but we’ll figure it out together. If you’re uninsured or your plan doesn’t cover it, there are patient assistance programs that can help. Cost shouldn’t be the reason this doesn’t happen for you.
Then I’ll treat you again. Full stop. Re-infection is a medical reality for a lot of people, especially those still in active use. It is not a character flaw and it is not a reason to give up on treatment. There is no limit to how many times I will help you clear this virus.
Yes, completely. What you tell me stays with me. That includes your substance use, your history, anything. You don’t have to edit yourself or worry about what I’ll think. That’s not how I work.
Hepatitis C has a cure. You now know it’s available to you, without conditions, without judgment, and without having to have your life in perfect order first.
When you’re ready to use that information, I’m here. Call, book online, whatever feels easiest. We’ll take it from there.
